My name is Aqma, and I don’t think my name is cool. Why did I have to be named Aqma? Wouldn’t Leo or Max sound much better? Today is my first day of school, and I’m so nervous. What if my classmates laugh when I introduce myself? Just like the kids in my neighborhood who teased me. Mom always said, “They only teased you because they liked you.” I wasn’t so sure. They said my name sounded strange and made up silly rhymes. I chased them until they ran away, laughing. Ever since then, I wished for a cooler name. “Aqma, let’s go! It’s time for school,” Mom called. I sighed and followed her. On the way, I thought hard. Maybe I could mumble my name, or pretend I forgot it when it’s my turn. When we arrived, Mom gave me a hug and said, “You’ll do great, Aqma. Your name is perfect, just like you.” As I walked into class, lost in thought, BUMP! I ran into a girl with curly hair. “Oops! Sorry!” I said quickly. “No, it’s okay! Hey, what’s your name?” she asked, smiling. “Oh no, this is it,” I thought. “I’m Aq... Aqma,” I mumbled. “Aqma? That’s so cool!” she said brightly. “I’m Rina.” “Wait, you think Aqma is cool?” I blinked, surprised. “Of course! Aqma sounds unique and strong,” Rina replied. “We should be friends!” Before I knew it, other kids gathered around. “Aqma is a great name!” one said. I couldn’t stop smiling. I never thought anyone would like my name, let alone think it was cool. By the end of the day, I felt proud. Mom was right all along. My name is Aqma, and I think it’s VERY cool!

Charlie is everybody's best friend. He is kind considerate and aware of the feelings of others. Charlie is also very smart and extremely articulate for his age. There was once a loving mule. This mule loved to dance around his mama and eat all the green grass it could see. no matter how tired it got it always knew that his mom loved him. The mule was going around and much bigger now. He loved to play and to spend time around his loving mother. The mule cried and was so very hungry and thought "how can I show this man what is love?" The man took the mule into town and piled a bunch of food in front of him to eat. there was another man there though. This man was holding a single piece of bread. At first the mule was confused with the choice. But something in that bread felt like his mothers love from a long long time ago. He was so shocked thinking how could this be? that he knelt in front of this bread he knew was the source of all love. Hoping this would show the mean man that love requires all of us to sacrifice sometimes. The man was so shocked that he knelt down in front of the bread too and he yelled with tears and joy that this must be God. For surely God must be love

You’re so brave, and I’ll be right here with you.” Imoni looked into her daddy’s kind eyes. She took a deep breath and nodded. “Okay, Daddy. I trust you.” Arthur carefully tied the string around Imoni’s loose tooth. “Ready, sweetheart?” he asked. Imoni squeezed her eyes shut and held her daddy’s hand. “Ready,” she whispered. “On the count of three,” Arthur said. “One… two…” Before he got to three, he gave a quick tug, and the tooth popped right out! Imoni opened her eyes. “Wait… is it out?” Arthur held up the tiny tooth. “It’s out! You did it, Imoni!” Imoni touched the gap in her mouth and smiled. “It didn’t even hurt!” she said, giggling. “I told you,” Arthur said, hugging her. “Sometimes, trusting someone makes all the difference. "That night, Imoni placed her tiny tooth under her pillow and climbed into bed. She felt proud and brave. Arthur kissed her forehead. “Goodnight, my brave girl. I’m so proud of you.”
