So today he would show us how to make one!

“First, we need bread!” Sammy shouted with glee,
Two slices so soft, as fresh as can be.
He opened the cupboard and found his best pair,
A loaf of white bread with a crusty brown hair.

“Now let’s spread butter, nice and smooth,”
He grabbed his big knife and made a cool move.
With a scoop and a swirl, he spread it with care,
“Oh, how I love butter! It’s light as the air!”

Next came the veggies, all crunchy and bright,
Lettuce and tomatoes, such a lovely sight.
He washed them so gently and sliced them with cheer,
Stacking them neatly—oh, what fun, oh dear!

“Now for the meat!” Sammy clapped with delight,
He opened the fridge—what a wonderful sight!
Turkey and ham, piled high with some cheese,
“Just look at this goodness! I’ll eat it with ease!”

“Don’t forget mustard! It adds a big zing!”
He squeezed on a dollop—oh, what joy it can bring!
Then he topped it with pickles, so crunchy and round,
“A yummy sandwich! It’s the best to be found!”

He placed the last slice on top with a thud,
And gave it a press with a big happy “thud!”
“Now, let’s cut it in half, so easy to share,
I’ll take one to my friends, with love and with care!”

With a plate full of sandwiches, Sammy did grin,
“Making a sandwich is such a win-win!
It’s fun to create, with flavors to mix,
A sandwich adventure—a tasty fix!”

So if you feel hungry and don’t know what to do,
Just follow Sam’s steps, and you’ll make one too!
With bread and some goodies, your snack will be grand,
Just like Sammy McSandwich, oh so well planned!

Off to Kosova, as happy as can be!
From her home in the USA,
She was ready for her summer stay.

2) The plane touched down, the air was warm,
Her gjyshë (grandmother) hugged her, arms like a storm.
"Mirë se vjen, Besa!" she said with cheer,
"Welcome home, we’re glad you’re here!"

3) First to Prishtina, the city so bright,
With busy streets and cafes in sight.
They walked to the sheshi (square) where flags were held high,
And Besa smiled as they waved in the sky.

4) Then off to Rugova, the valley so green,
With mountains taller than she'd ever seen.
She hiked with her cousins, laughing all day,
Splashing in streams, enjoying their play.

5) At night in Peja, under stars that gleamed,
They ate flija (a special dish), just like she dreamed!
With family and laughter, the night felt right,
Besa was happy in the soft, calm night.

6) Next was Prizren, with streets made of stone,
Where history and charm are clearly shown.
They climbed the castle, so high in the air,
Besa looked down, feeling love everywhere.

7) Then came the day she’d waited so long,
To visit Gjilan, where she felt so strong.
It is the place where her family is from,
A town that always made her heart hum.

8) At Vali Ranch, the horses stood high,
Besa chose one with a gleam in their eye.
She rode with joy, feeling the breeze,
Laughing and smiling, completely at ease.

9) She visited her familja (family) with hugs so tight,
In Gjilan, everything felt just right.
They shared stories, laughter, and love,
Besa knew she was blessed from above.

10) Her summer in Kosova soon would end,
But she knew in her heart, she’d come back again.
From Rugova’s peaks to Prizren’s old town,
And Gjilan’s warmth that never let her down.

11) Back to America, she flew through the skies,
With stories of love, joy, and bright eyes.
Besa smiled as the plane took flight,
Kosova stayed in her dreams each night.

BESA FLYS TO HOME LAND

Once upon a time, with a joyful cheer,  
Two bulls jumped high, full of fun and no fear.  
Arman, just five, with a green apple to munch,  
Sat on a rock, enjoying his lunch.

Eliza, seven, in the garden did play,  
Smelling flowers on a sunny day.  
With little Amara, so cheerful and bright,  
They laughed together, a wonderful sight.

Aryan, so brave, just six years old,  
Faced a T-Rex, so fierce and bold.  
With courage and strength, he stood so tall,  
Ready to fight, he gave it his all.

Then Aryan and Arman, on a jet ski they flew,  
Over waves so high, the waters they knew.  
Eliza and Amara on the swing did glide,  
With laughter and joy, side by side.

But oh no! Here comes Cruella, so sly,  
With an evil plan, under a darkening sky.  
She wanted the children, her heart full of greed,  
But their father Adoola would not let her succeed.

Adoola, so strong, with a sword in hand,  
Defeated the witch, made her leave the land.  
Sanana, their mother, with a heart full of grace,  
Joined Adoola to keep their family safe.

Together they soared to a castle in the sky,  
Where magic and wonder filled every eye.  
Aryan and Arman on cheetahs took flight,  
While unicorns carried the girls with delight.

The family now safe, with hearts full of cheer,  
Lived happily ever after, with nothing to fear.  
In the magical castle, under the bright blue dome,  
They found love, laughter, and a perfect home.

The end, dear child, now close your eyes tight,  
Dream of adventures in the soft moonlight.  
For in your dreams, you can fly so high,  
Just like the family in the castle in the sky.

There was a girl named Margie. She is cheerful and kind; however, she can't read because she has dyslexia. But it didn't stop her from loving books. She has audio-books, and colorful books that helps her understand what is written in the book. One of her favorite books is "The Chronicles of Narnia," written by C.S. Lewis.

A Sofi le encanta viajar. Tiene un mapamundi en la pared de su cuarto y siempre está lista para armar las valijas para un próximo viaje. Le encanta elegir qué ropa y cuáles juguetes llevar.
Un día estaba jugando con Antonio dentro de una choza de mantas y su dragón de juguete cobró vida. Los dos se quedaron impresionados. El dragón podía hablar! They land in Russia for ice hockey. "Brrr, it's cold!" They skate with the players.

In Africa, they run in a marathon. "We're running around the world!" Osh laughs.

Page 10:
At a tennis match in England, Ish serves a tiny tennis ball. "Ace!"

Page 11:
Back home, tired but happy. "What a day!" they say, showing Mom XL their souvenirs.

"Every sport was fun," Osh says. "Let's dream of more adventures," whispers Ish as they fall asleep.

The Dimalanta were a strange family that lived in Sinagtala, a busy town with sunshine-colored houses and lots of laughter in the streets. Mr. Dimalanta was an engineer with a deep voice. Mrs. Dimalanta was a ball of energy who loved polka dots, and their three kids, Savier, Sharry, and Lorry, were not getting along at all. 
The oldest child, Savier, was a boy who always rushed through doors, dropping things and mumbling "sorry" as he went. Sharry, the middle child, knew many exciting things but often just blurted them out without thinking about what they meant. Lorry, the youngest, usually had temper tantrums and felt very entitled. He thought the world spun around him. 
A strange thing happened one sunny afternoon while Mr. Dimalanta was working in his workshop and Mrs. Dimalanta was planning the yearly Thanksgiving. When Sharry slammed the back door, a gust of wind blew through the house with a poof! Sinagtala lost its politeness.

Linh (laughs): "They probably want me to get rid of being single soon!"

In an old, small house a boy named Sam and his 1 big dog live. Sam played basketball near the driveway where a blue car sat.

Sam loved his big dog very much. They were the best of friends and did everything together.
