Clocky, the curious little clock, had a messy bedroom. His books were scattered on the floor, his clothes were strewn across the bed, and his toys were all over the place. It was a sight that made Clocky's gears spin with frustration. One day, Clocky's friend Ticktock came over to play. As soon as Ticktock saw the cluttered bedroom, he wrinkled his hands and said, "Clocky, your room is a mess! How can you find anything in here?" Clocky looked around sheepishly, realizing that Ticktock was right. He had been careless and had not taken good care of his belongings. "You're right, Ticktock. My room is a disaster. I can't even find my favorite toy," he admitted.

1.A lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the lion's nose. 2..Awoken from his dreamy nap, the lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her. “Spare me!" begged the poor mouse. "Please let me go and someday I will surely repay you." The lion was amused to think that a mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the mouse go. 3.Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the lion was caught in a hunter's net. Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The mouse knew the voice and quickly found the lion struggling in the net. 4.Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she gnawed it until it parted, and soon the lion was free. “You laughed when I said I would repay you,” said the mouse. “Now you see that even a mouse can help a lion.”

Patrick's parents are divorcing. He is very sorry. He will live with his mother, but his father will visit him every weekend. turn this into a Christian children's book: Today our nanny Ava shared an awesome experience at the park with my two little ones. "We are at the park right now. Lex was watching me teach Jens to climb the rope net. I wasn’t holding him but guiding his next step. Lex says “why do you always let go of people when they are doing hard things on the playground when they need help?” (Him referencing Jens struggling on the net calling for my help). I said “it’s so that you learn to do hard things without me”. Lex says, “Oh, I don’t want to do hard things.” 😆 Later, Jens get on the ropes again and calls for help. I encourage him that he can do it while watching from afar. And then he does it! All by himself! At the top Jens yells “I did it!” Jumps up and down and Lex says “Oh that’s why you let us do hard things.” 🥲" I could go on and on about how amazing Ava is as a nanny and what a blessing she is to raising my little men, and she is SUCH a huge blessing and incredible woman, but instead I can't help but see the parallel of that story and the role God has in our lives. I can't tell you how often I wish my lifelong trial would be over and how often I literally ask God why he is making me go through all this pain even I KNOW he could take it away... Then I remember the little and big wins along the way and the things I have learned and gained because of pain I am constantly in. God absolutely tells me where to step, but I haven't ever experienced the feeling of him completely lifting me to the top of the playground. I feel him watching me and cheering me along. Then I do something impossible and I jump up and down with joy saying "I did it!" and I know he's so proud of me. And just like little Lex I think to myself, "Oh that’s why you let us do hard things." Let's not forget to let God guide us. Thank God for the miracles we experience every day
