Johan and Marshall's Brave Night Johan was a little boy who loved stories!. He'd dance to his favorite songs, his feet tapping a happy beat. And he loved snuggling with his mommy and daddy at bedtime, listening to them read stories until he drifted off to sleep. Johan's best friend was a fluffy brown dog named Marshall. But Marshall wasn't just any dog, he was a stuffed tJohan carried Marshall everywhere, and at night, Marshall slept beside him on his pillow, like a furry guardian. Johan loved sleeping with his mommy and daddy. He loved their warm hugs and the gentle sound of their breathing. But lately, they had been talking about something called "sleeping alone." "You're getting bigger, Johan," his mommy would say, with a big smile. "It's time for you to be a big boy and sleep in your own bed." One night, as his parents tucked him into bed, Johan whispered, "Mommy, Daddy, I'm a little scared to sleep alone." "We know, sweetheart," his daddy said, giving him a hug. "But you're not alone. You have Marshall." Johan looked at Marshall, his furry friend lying beside him. "I'm still a little scared," Johan said. "It's okay to be scared," his mommy said, kissing his forehead. "But you're a brave boy, Johan. You can do this." Johan took a deep breath. He closed his eye. He had Marshall by his side As the night got darker, Johan felt a little scared. But then he remembered what his parents said, and he remembered Marshall. He squeezed Marshall's paw and whispered, "We can do this, Marshall. We're brave." And slowly, the fear went away. He felt calm and safe, knowing he wasn't alone. He drifted off to sleep, with Marshall beside him, a promise of safety and love. The next morning, Johan woke up feeling proud of himself. He had slept alone, and he had done it with the help of his best friend, Marshall From that day on, Johan continued to sleep in his own bed.

P1 There is a boy with golden hair, who lives amongst the stars P2 That loves to walk amongst us, letting his magic become ours P3 Stardust showered on our gardens and sprinkled in our yards P4 Slowly it becomes us, beating in our hearts P5 So now we may join him as he dances in the night sky P6 Shedding our own stardust as we welcome the morning light P7 And the magical boy guides us, as there's something we must know P8 It's how to share our stardust--helping others grow P9 "Some nights are not for dancing, sometimes your dust is just for you And that's all right my darlings-- it's just something I wish I knew. So be sure to save some always, to keep a special store For when you run out of stardust, you may not be able to make more." P10 And we nodded at the magic boy, understanding what he means Is that we must care for ourselves, and it's not as selfish as it seems In fact it's not selfish, to ensure we care for ourselves Because if we lose our stardust, we'll have none for anyone else.

Once upon a time there was a beetle who loved to tell everyone how fast he could run. “I am the fastest insect in the park,” he would say. His slow and steady friend the snail, tired of hearing him brag, challenged him to a race. “Ha,” the beetle thought to himself, “there is no way a snail could ever win against me.” On the day of the race, all of the insects in the park gathered to watch. The centipede waved a checkered flag to start the race. The beetle zoomed past the starting line as fast as he could, while the snail carefully inched herself forward bit by bit. The beetle cried out “You will never win this race at that slow, slow pace.” Out of breath from running, the beetle eventually reached a small pond of water. He thought, “I have plenty of time. I just will go around the pond.” The beetle sped off on his way. Inch by inch the snail crawled along the path. As she reached the pond, she thought, “It would be much shorter if I could somehow float across the water.” Perhaps I could build a boat. The snail gathered up some leaves, twigs and vine. She fashioned a small boat that helped her glide smoothly across the water of the pond. When she got to the other side, she hopped off the boat and could see all of her friends waiting for her at the finish line. Little by little the snail crept along the path until she crossed the finish line at long last. All of her friends cheered. “Hooray for snail!” they cried. A moment later the beetle came running across the finish line. “I can’t believe you beat me!” he said. “You know,” the snail replied with a smile, “being the fastest isn’t always everything”. “Sometimes if you just slow down for a moment and think about your challenge, you can come up with great solutions.”

Mandy Moo wasn't just any ordinary cow. She was super-duper smart, the real brains behind the operation, and the fearless hero of old Farmer Tom's farm! Old farmer Tom, bless his old sleepy heart, mostly took long naps under a big tree every day, leaving the day-to-day running of the farm entirely in Mandy Moo's capable hands. Every morning, Mandy Moo meticulously planned the day's activities. She used a system of colored pebbles to assign tasks to each of the farm animals. A grey pebble meant "drive the little tractor!" (the chickens were surprisingly adept at this, though they weren't allowed near the bigger tractors, those were for Mandy). A spotty pebble signified "fence mending" (the sheep, surprisingly strong and surprisingly good with knots, were responsible for this). A shiny white pebble meant "collect the eggs," a task usually handled by the pigs (who, surprisingly, had a knack for finding even the most hidden eggs). And a brown pebble meant "hay time," a job for the strong horses. But Mandy Moo wasn't just a manager. She was a skilled operator, a master of the farm's machinery, and a whiz with a wrench. The little tractor was easy for her, but she could also handle the truck, driving it with surprising agility to transport supplies around the property. Sometimes, when the harvest was in full swing, she'd even take the combine harvester for a spin, expertly maneuvering it through the fields. And if something broke down on the farm, Mandy could often be found wielding a wrench, fixing whatever needed fixing. She could repair a leaky pipe, tighten a loose bolt on the hay baler, or even patch a hole in the chicken coop, all with a surprising level of skill and precision
