Lisa was a bright and happy girl who loved her grandmother Tina very much. Lisa and Tina would do lots of things together, like cooking, watching movies together and doing crossword puzzles. Her teacher encouraged her to continue praying for Sarah, and to have faith that Jesus could heal her too.That night she went home and prayed. She went back to the hospital to visit Sarah. She explained the story of Jesus healing the woman with the blood issue. Sarah is surprised and encouraged. Asher prayed together with Sarah.Asher continued to pray and trust God every day. After a few weeks passed, she visited Sarah again. Her friend was getting ready to leave the hospital. She said Asher I'm all better, I believe that Jesus healed me just like you said! I want to learn more about Jesus Asher is so happy. She went home and thanked God right away. “God” I’m sorry for not believing in you earlier. But I know you will forgive me, because you forgive all our sins always. This story of Asher might relate to you. Sometimes we make mistakes like Asher, but it is never too late for you to start fresh. If you believe in Jesus to save you from your sins, He will. The bible says that if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old has passed and behold, a new has come. You might feel hopeless thinking there Is no second or third chance from sin, but we want to encourage you to have faith despite whats happening around you, like Asher did. And believe that this new year, God will give you a new chance to be right with him.

Zeke is afraid of the dark and sleeping by himself in his bedroom. Mom kisses him goodnight but Zeke is too scared to let her leave. She says hold on and returns with a gem. She says it's a magical dream gem and if kisses it, closes his eyes, and whispers what he wants to see in his dreams, then it will take him them there. She tucks him in and leaves his room. Zeke hides under his blanket and whispers "dragon" to the gem. He closes his eyes and when he opens them he is surprised to find himself in a cave. He doesn't feel like himself. He looks down and sees that he has transformed into a mighty dragon. He goes on a fun adventure before seeing the magical gem on top of a pile of treasure. He says goodbye to his new friends and grabs the gem. He closes his eyes again and when he opens them, he is back in bed waking up to a new day. He is no longer afraid of the dark and going to sleep as he is excited for what adventures are in store for him when he goes to sleep with his magical gem.

Maplewood was a happy town. But one day, news came that a sneaky weasel gang was hiding near the edge of the town. The animals were worried and wondered what they should do. Big Bucks Bear, who ran Maplewood Supply Company, had a plan. “We need strong walls and traps to keep the weasels out,” he said. Big Bucks told the animals that, just like during the Cold Forest Standoff years ago, they had to stay prepared and strong. But Penny the Raccoon had another idea. “What if we try to befriend the weasels or help them find a place to live?” she asked. She reminded everyone that spending too much on defense—like when the animals once sent nuts and supplies to faraway lands—could leave them without enough for themselves. Big Bucks was persuasive. He convinced Maplewood to use almost all of their savings to build walls, just like in the Squirrel-Bird Dispute over Nut Valley, when they built forts and traps. Soon, Maplewood was pouring all its resources into Big Bucks’ projects. Penny noticed that things around town were falling apart. With so much money going to walls and gadgets, there was hardly anything left to fix schools, parks, or even make enough food! “What if we’re using up our savings on things that don’t help us every day?” she thought. Penny gathered everyone and shared her plan. “Instead of building walls, let’s work together and share what we have. The world needs peace, just like we learned in the Forest Unity Days!” She reminded them that when the animals had shared their food and tools, they had more than enough. As the animals talked and listened, they realized that the weasels weren’t all bad. They just needed help, too. Penny and her friends invited the weasels to work and play together in Maplewood, and soon they were all sharing the forest’s food and shelter. He used his skills to help rebuild schools, parks, and homes, seeing that Maplewood was stronger when everyone worked together.
